Since our founding, D8 Summit Charities (Tax ID 84-2716812) has raised tens of thousands of dollars for community agencies such as food banks, homeless shelters, suicide prevention, and services for youth and the elderly. We solicit donations at public appearances and at world-class gaming events such as our annual D8 Summit Charity Convention.
A world-class tabletop gaming event, D8 Summit Charity Gaming Convention is a three-day destination convention held every April. Hundreds of tabletop gamers from around the world gather for friendship, a shared passion for the hobby, and a desire to do good. They enjoy popular game offerings such as Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering, as well as independent games and retro board games – too many offerings to mention! Gaming creatives commission special art and write exclusive games for attendees. Industry professionals attend to share the fun, and the event is supported by notable companies in games. Specialty vendors round out the fun experience for guests.
D8 Summit Charities endeavors to educate the gaming and wider communities on topics promoting health and community, while improving shared experiences at the table and beyond. Topics discussed in the past include mental health, community building, diversity, accessibility, and sharing great stories with friends. Outreach offered at public and games-centric events around the United States.
Each year, D8 Summit Charities offers mentorship and publication support to new gaming creatives. Games so designed are enjoyed by players at D8 Summit-sponsored gaming events and later by the wider gaming community.
